VENUS
Exploring the early Universe with gravitational lensing
VENUS turns 60 massive galaxy clusters into cosmic magnifying glasses, enabling JWST to probe galaxies far beyond its nominal detection limit. Within VENUS, my scientific focus is on identifying the most extreme, highly magnified galaxies at the highest redshifts, including candidate z > 15 systems and Little Red Dots (LRDs) that may host rapidly growing black holes.
I serve as Data and Catalog Lead, overseeing the imaging reduction and uniform catalog construction across the full cluster sample. I also lead the high-z working group, coordinating the search for the most distant galaxies and shaping the program’s science strategy at the earliest epochs.
